Everplaces App is just vital - you cant live without! It is just like a friend talking to you, well, it actually is! You follow people with the same interests as yours and get to know amazing hidden places across the globe! Don’t plan a trip without checking it first! Great reviews and tips!
Hi folks, I love what youve put together here. I appreciate the hard work and sweat for making this app possible!
I would love to see a FIELD FOR A WEBSITE, for categories such as accommodations, restaurants, bars, etc.
This would up the ante!
Nice App for remembering interesting places. But an option for exporting places into an kml oder kmz file would be nice.
O.k. - its (still) a beta, but I like the idea very much and as somebody who travels a lot and likes to catch/conserve/recommend/blog places this software really fills a gap!
Potential for Improvement(s) for the App:
--- the app every time (!) tries to sync ("for minutes"), when you open it. This waiting time is really nerving, when you have no WiFi/Roaming abroad
- once defined tags cannot be deleted (when they are no longer used)
Potential for improvement(s) for the Browser-Version:
--- Editing is really uncomfortable (yet) because you cannot switch between previous and current view(s)
--- Recommendations of other users like "all Vienna recommendations for eat&drink" are not (yet) possible)
-- Printing (for instance all places in one city: all data) is not (yet) possible
-- Filtering (for instance: all Favorite Restaurants in Frankfurt) is not (yet) possible
-- (safety) Copy af all own data on (own) storage space
I really wonder what will follow the beta… :)
A really nice way to share your favorite spots. Food and pubs are always are big subject. But here its much more individual. The diversity of interests is impressing. Great to get your own collection for your next trip. And I like also to recommend the other curated Everplaces Apps. Niche travel apps curated by locals and insiders. Some bad moments
....as posted in their blog kills the former great functionality.
1) The mapview for categorized places was deleted with the last update.
2) One time a city is named by one name, another time by another international name.
3) Places very often are not saved with the adress of my location, but only with the city and country. So I have to go to edit, the map, move the place a bit and Bingo: Now we also have a street!
03/2016: -some bugs rmoved-
11/2016: Meanwhile it seems to be a hotel-platform. Looking at the frontoage its handpicked hotels only (more or less).
All great variety from the first years is gone.
I was looking for some app to keep track of the places Ive been in.. This is just completely awful. Waste of time.
Good basic features in a great design - theres probably lots more to come, looking forward to it!
I love this as a place for tracking the places Ive been when I travel in different cities and countries - for examples, I like being able to just pull it up on my phone and look at the list of restaurants Ive tried in HK instead of wandering in circles trying to remember "that tapas place somewhere near the escalators"! I like that it doesnt have a in-your-face social aspect too - its more personal, but you have the option to share if you want! The interface is really slick and easy to use, though its still a little buggy (e.g. my phone thinks I have 317 locations when I only have 196; crashes on the when I upload multiple photos or delete photos) - but hey, its still in beta! I cant wait to see what comes next - there is so much potential for this app!

In the US, we have states. Cities are in states. Detroit, Michigan, for example. The app would display this as Detroit, United States, which is annoying.
5 Aug 2012: Still no action on states. Latest update erased all locations from app (still visible on website). Deleted and reinstalled, now cant log on.
